And the winner for Best Brother goes to...
I am pretty sure Jake, my 6 year old, has a heart made of gold. He can be the sweetest little boy, he is our protector and even has the nickname "hero" from his Grandma. Jake recently became a big brother again. Three Months ago I gave birth to baby number 4. When the kids came to visit me in the hospital they each had their turn holding baby Aubree. On Jake's turn he sat over in the corner with Aubree and was being so sweet. As he was holding Aubree he started talking in a soft voice saying, "Don't worry little Aubree, I'll take good care of you. I will protect you." I wish I could have heard it all, but he was talking so soft. I don't think he wanted anyone to hear. The way he just looked at her brought tears to my eyes and made me proud that I raised such a sweet little hero. He loves his Aubree. He always gives her kisses goodnight, he always wants to hold her and love her. The other day Aubree was in her baby swing. I walked into the room to check on her and there was Jake by her side. He had pulled up a chair right next to her and was telling her a story in his sweetest high pitched voice to capture her full attention. I'm so proud of him. He is such an awesome big brother.
