Last night my (almost 4 year old) daughter said to me in the cutest little voice “mom, I love you so much.” My heart melted!!

Also – every night before she goes to bed she stalls by saying “mom, I have to tell you something.” So I say “so tell me. ”  And she usually goes into some silly rant that doesn’t make sense. So recently (a few weeks ago) I said to her “Jaiden, tell me about all the pretty things you are going to dream of like princesses and princes, and hearts and flowers, fairies and all the beautiful things you can think of. In return I will tell you to sleep tight my little princess.” Last night she did this but when I didn’t respond the way I told her I would she said to me “Mom, you didn’t tell me I was your little princess!”

I melted and thought – how much do I love you and love being your mom.
