I am so glad this child is mine:
This story happened to me within the last 2 weeks. My 17 year old will be graduating from high school in the next 4 weeks. He has decided to not go to college, while this might be very disappointing for many parents. I have to sit back and listen to his reasoning. He says to me, "Mom, I am not ready for college, I do not want to sleep until noon everyday and then flip burgers for a living". He has decided to join the United States Marines. I received a text message from my son just now which says; I have decided against infantry and just filled out my job form with the Marines. I want to be a part of Marines Security which will be a part of intelligence in
Washington DC
. I am so proud to say that my son will be defending this country that I am so grateful to live in.
Best regards,
Cindy Tollen
